Not only does one constantly get photographed while SUPing (I often wonder how many strangers’ sunset pictures I’m in), you will also get asked many, many questions.
- What do you call that?
Why it’s stand-up paddleboarding of course!
- Is it hard to do?
It’s a little hard at first, but you’ll get the hang of it really fast!
- Do you ever fall in?
Not very often…but be sure to keep the pre-SUP beers to a minimum
- Is it a good workout?
You can make it as hard as you want it be. No one will judge you if you wanna go for a lazy paddle….I love lazy paddling
- Is it fun?
No, I do it because it’s awful.
- Why don’t you just kayak?
Why are you wearing Crocs?
- Where can I get one of those?
You can buy SUPs at many great stores and online…and you can snag some pretty sweet deals at the end of the season.
- How did you get into it?
Through a long-haired surfer dude who lived in a van (true story)
- Where can you SUP?
The world is full of water!
- Be careful, the water is cold!
I’m not the only one who gets these questions, right?
And don’t get me wrong, I love getting questions about stand up paddling! Please ask away! 🙂
